I’ll be honest here, I was kind of surprised to see Jabba the Hutt in Shatterpoint. Oh, wait, never mind, looks like that’s Lando Calrissian. Hold on, isn’t he in a different pack. I’m confused, who is this character, and why should I take them in my strike team?
Ezra Bridger, Spectre-6 is available in the Stronger Than Fear squad box.

Main card
Well, 4pc is pretty standard for a secondary. The only note here is that Spectres are quite mix-and-matchable with both primaries being 8sp and all other units being 4pc, so that gives some flexibility when list building.
Abilities
Eight stamina is on the low end for a 4pc secondary. We’ll see that Ezra’s defensive profile is fine, but not spectacular. He often becomes a priority target for the enemy and can certainly be focused down. Make sure to get value out of him before he gets wounded and play him a little cagey when need be.
Force Jump is a standard ability. Ezra might not use this every activation, but it’s handy to have when needed.
Unreliable Informant is potentially a very strong effect. If fate is in your favour then it can be a budget Manipulating Hand, but two thirds of the time it’ll simply be a pin. While it is by no means a bad ability, Ezra won’t often have the force budget (or the game state) to make use of it.
Helpful Hand is a key part of Ezra’s kit. Extra moves out of activation are usually quite handy, but especially for Ezra (as we’ll see in a moment). The Force User tag is quite broad, opening up synergy with both light- and dark-side primaries throughout the eras.
Thanks for Doing the Heavy Lifting is the big appeal of Ezra. Breaking ties as a secondary is not very common. Unlike, say, Inquisitors, he is not playing a body down (since secondaries are only single body units anyway) in exchange for this power. Any abilities that can move him, including his own Helpful Hand, will be amplified as he is almost like 1.5 bodies when determining objective control.
This Helmet is the Property of Ezra Bridger is a strong ability similar to Wrecker’s I Wasn’t Sneaking, in so far as it grants one momentum more than you might otherwise expect. However, unlike Wrecker, Ezra is not great at dealing damage. He can certainly put in some work, but you’ll usually need someone else to get things started before he comes in for the finishing blow.
Fast Learner
Ezra’s Fast Learner stance brings solid melee/ranged flexibility, and decent defense too! Melee is usually where you want to be making your attacks, especially into enemies without crit mitigation, but the gun is fine in a pinch. A shove on the first result is always good to see, and movement options later in the tree open up some big-play potential.
Defensively, Ezra is in a good spot. Five dice in any situation is about all you can ask for from a secondary, and a dash on two expertise means he can be tricky to knock off objectives. Even if the attacker can pin him, Ezra can often shed the pin immediately via his expertise, allowing him to potentially move during a future turn.
Synergy & Wrap-Up
+ Pros | – Cons |
Objective tiebreaker with good mobility | 8 stamina is on the low end |
Solid offensive and defensive profiles | Might burn through force once wounded |
Ezra is quickly becoming my go-to rebel secondary, even in non-Spectre lists. I usually prefer secondaries that move their friends or have dice-less displacement, but rebels lack that outside of Sabine, who has fairly particular list-building needs. Ezra is a no-brainer with Kanan, but outside of that he can work well in any list that can move him around. Units like Leia (either primary version, but especially Charming to the Last), Han, Lobot, and, of course, Hera, are all good combos. Ezra can also work well with selfish force users like Darth Vader, Jedi Hunter and Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. One major weakness of those two primaries is that they cannot move an ally during their activation, but Ezra can fix that with good positioning.
Tiebreakers are very strong, especially on secondary units. Ezra brings a solid, all-rounder type package that can cause headaches for your opponents on objectives. Just make sure you can keep him alive and in position!
